French footballer Antoine Griezmann returns to Atletica Madrid.

The reigning Spanish champion has agreed with FC Barcelona on the annual hosting of the 30-year-old striker, and the contract also includes an option to extend the hosting and an option to transfer permanently. Atletico will also take over the player’s salary.
Griezmann transferred from Atletico to Barcelona two years ago for 120 million euros. In the Catalan capital, however, he did not establish himself as expected. He scored 35 goals in 102 matches and won only the Spanish Royal Cup.
The French national team member and world champion from 2018 played for “Los Colchoneros” already in the years 2014–2019, he scored 94 goals in 180 duels.

He joined the Madrid club in 2014 from Real Sociedad San Sebastian. “Welcome back, Griezmann!” Atletico welcomed the returnee to its website.
