Barcelona beat Real Madrid 4-0 today in El Clásico of Spanish football on the Santiago Bernabéu field and escaped six points ahead of its archrivals in the LaLiga standings.
The blaugranas, who arrived at the Madrid white house motivated after beating their European ‘black beast’, Bayern Munich, in the Champions League, cut short the streak of their opponents, who had gone 42 consecutive league games without knowing the defeat.
With the planet paralyzed, both teams organized several attacks at the beginning of the first half and the game took a good rhythm with escapes, shots on goal and disallowed goals, until the smoke began to subside and they went to the locker rooms in search of oxygen.
In the second half, “The Polish Robot”, Robert Lewandowski, scored two goals in a period of two minutes, to reaffirm himself as the season’s leader with 14 and leave the fans in the white stands breathless.
This double, according to Mister Chip statistics, is the fastest (141 seconds) in a Clásico since Fuste scored two goals against Real Madrid in less than 2 minutes, on December 19, 1965.
Later the Mediterranean party continued, when the talented youngster Lamine Yamal with his magical touch sent the ball into the back of the net and Raphinha imitated him a little later to complete the rout.
After this result, Hansi Flick’s culés extend their difference at the top of the standings with 30 points and Carlo Ancelotti’s meringues remain second with 24 points.
