Future certainty Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona will be determined soon. The club’s management is trying to find a solution to the complexity of the situation.
De Jong’s name is widely discussed in the transfer market this summer. It is approached by Manchester United who are willing to spend quite a lot of money, but the player seems to still feel at home at Camp Nou.
It was later revealed that the reason why De Jong was reluctant to move was because Barcelona still owed him a salary of up to 17 million euros, due to the suspension of payments due to the COVID-19 pandemic that made the Catalan giants experience a financial crisis.
