Barcelona –
Barcelona rumored to be releasing Frenkie de Jong next summer. Blaugrana will sell it to Manchester United.
The news was sparked by a journalist from Spain, Gerard Moreno, through his social media. He said the Dutch midfielder would be released by Barcelona.
Moreno even said, Barcelona’s chance of releasing him reached 95 percent. Manchester United is said to be De Jong’s next club.
“Before the season ends, and with a 95 per cent chance, Frenkie de Jong will be transferred to Manchester United,” he said.
“This is purely an economic matter. Barcelona have to sell players who don’t shine at the club.”
“The operation will be completed around 70 million euros and 80 million euros. Now it’s 11 May and the situation can change. But the club knows if he continues another season and still doesn’t shine, the player will lose his price and Barcelona lose his money,” he explained.
United have indeed been linked with De Jong, after announcing that they would be coached by Erik ten Hag. De Jong is a former Ten Heg player at Ajax Amsterdam.
Meanwhile in Barcelona, Frenkie de Jong has made 139 appearances and scored 13 goals, since being bought from Ajax Amsterdam. He just presented the Copa del Rey title.
