Vitor Roque exchanged Athlético Paranaense for Barcelona last winter, but there is a good chance that the Brazilian talent will wear a different shirt again next season. Barcelona wants to rent him out, reports Sport.
Roque was actually only supposed to join Barcelona next summer, but due to Gavi’s serious injury, the Brazilian could already be registered in the winter. Roque was not able to make his mark on Barcelona in his first half season. Roque played eleven games in La Liga, of which he only started two. He scored two goals for the Catalans.
Barcelona plans to loan Roque out next summer so that he can get more minutes and get better acclimatized to European football. But the Financial Fair Play (FFP) also plays a role, because Barcelona is tight with salary space. According to Sport Barcelona prefers to rent the youngster to a club from La Liga. The Spanish sports newspaper mentions Real Betis as a possible destination for Roque.
