The Catalonia derby between Barcelona and Girona has become a summit.

First victory
There were as many goals for each team in the second half.

The victory is the club’s first ever against Barcelona.
Leads the league
Girona is about ten miles north of Barcelona.
The distance between the football clubs has historically been enormous.
The current season is Girona’s only fourth in the top flight. In fact, they faced Barcelona B – which shuttled between the second and third divisions – more times than the first team.
But now the successful team leads La Liga. Two points ahead of Real Madrid, and with seven down to Barcelona in fourth place.
