Barcelona taxi regulation as of November 19
The Metropolitan Taxi Institute has reported on the regulation of the Taxi in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.
Having regard to resolution SLT / 2875/2020, of November 12, art. 10.2, which establishes the possibility of regulating the reduction of the taxi service offer, despite the fact that the public health reasons that have motivated said article are not specified, nor is the number of vehicles that will be reduced to the effect.
Given that those reasons, although not specified, are implicit in the Resolution of the Department of Health that comes from PROCICAT through the action plan for emerging diseases.
And in compliance with the provisions of Resolution SLT / 2875/2020, of November 12, IMET resolves to establish the following service provision schedule:
- MONDAY: licenses ended in 1-2-3-4 rest
- TUESDAY: licenses ended 3-4-5-6 rest
- WEDNESDAY: licenses ended at 5-6-7-8 rest
- THURSDAY: licenses ending at 7-8-9-0 rest
- FRIDAY: licenses ending in 9-0-1-2 rest

- SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS: It is established who can work according to the last two digits of the termination of the license number. For these purposes, licenses with a single figure (from 1 to 9) will be considered to have a 0 in front, which is even.
Saturday: Licenses work with the penultimate figure of the even license and the last pair
Sunday: Licenses work with the penultimate digit of the odd license and the last odd
Saturday: Licenses work with the penultimate figure of the even license and the last odd
Sunday: Licenses work with the penultimate figure of the odd license and the last even
Saturday: Licenses work with the penultimate digit of the odd license and the last odd
Sunday: Licenses work with the penultimate figure of the even license and the last pair
Saturday: Licenses work with the penultimate figure of the odd license and the last even
Sunday: Licenses work with the penultimate figure of the even license and the last odd
Once the 4-week cycle is over, a new cycle will begin again.
This resolution will enter into force on November 19 and as long as Resolution SLT / 2875/2020 of November 12 or regulation that replaces it remains in force.
