FC Barcelona is again working on a surprising blow in the transfer market. Try the Catalans Tottenham Hotspur to outdo the battle for Wanderers speed demon Adama Traoré, various British and Spanish media report.
According to The Athletic in RAC1 Traoré should become the third winter acquisition of the Catalans after Dani Alves and Ferran Torres. The eight-time Spain international once played in the youth club of FC Barcelona before trying his luck in England, but is now eager to return to Catalonia.
Barcelona would bet on a rental transfer, including an option to buy 35 million euros. This construction will allow Barça to bring Traoré in as early as this month, without having to sell players first. The situation of contract rebel Ousmane Dembélé, who is heavily burdened on the budget, does not affect the chance of success of this transfer. Tottenham are also still in the race, but according to reports Barca have the best credentials for signing Traoré.
