Barcelona recruit Joao Felix in the summer, on loan. Coach Xavi Hernandez admits, Felix can fill two positions in the attack line.
On the last day of the 2023 summer transfer window, Barcelona got Joao Felix. The Atletico Madrid striker is on loan for a season without a permanent purchase option.
Joao Felix in fact had a dismal career last season. Left out of Atletico’s main squad and loaned to Chelsea, failed to shine in London and was not bought permanently.
Many believe that Felix may have difficulty returning to his best performance. But for the Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez, he saw a lot of potential in the player from Portugal.
“I see him being able to play in the striker position, right wing or left wing,” Xavi explained Brand.
Xavi Hernandez revealed, he was fascinated by Joao Felix on first impression. Felix performed optimally in training sessions and had high motivation to win a place in the main squad.
“Felix will provide many alternatives for us, he is versatile,” he concluded.
