In the match at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Wednesday (25/10/2023) evening WIB, Barcelona, which was still hit by a player crisis, fielded Marcos Alonso, Ronald Araujo and Yamine Lamal, who had just recovered.

VAR reviewed the goal because it was considered offside before it was approved. This goal made Barcelona even more enthusiastic about looking for additional goals.
The result was that Fermin doubled the score in the 36th minute. Receiving the ball in front of the penalty box, Fermin outwits one player before firing a hard kick into the left corner of the Shakhtar goal.

No more goals were scored until the first half was over.
Barcelona created a chance four minutes after the second half started. From Alonso’s crossing, Joao Cancelo met the ball with his head but Ryznyk was able to ward it off.
Torres managed to score a goal in the 59th minute after receiving a pass from his colleague, but the referee disallowed it because he was caught offside.
Three minutes later Shakhtar cut the score to 1-2 through Heorhii Sudakov, who also scored the visitors’ first shot in this match.
A fast attack from the left left Barcelona’s defense open. Irakli Azarovic and Sudakov played a 1-2 pass before completing the latter’s goal as a goal against Ter Stegen.

Fermin almost scored another goal in the 69th minute if his shot didn’t hit the post. A minute later Fermin’s goal was disallowed by VAR because he was caught offside when he received Alonso’s cross.
Shakhtar tried to catch up but their attempts failed several times. One of them was Taras Stepanenko in the 83rd minute who fired a volley, but the ball went wide.
The 2-1 score lasted until the match was over for Barcelona’s victory.
