Barcelona (EFE) .- The Brazilian midfielder of Barcelona Philippe Coutinho will have to undergo a surgical intervention on the external meniscus of his left knee, according to the Barça club.

The injury occurred during the match against Eibar. Coutinho came on in the 65th minute, replacing Miralem Pjanic, and had to leave the pitch in the 86th minute, leaving his team with ten players.
According to the club, the player will be operated on by arthroscopic technique “in the coming days” and has not specified the forecast of the player’s withdrawal.
Philippe Coutinho has played a total of 14 games this season, in which he has scored three goals and delivered two assists.
