BARCELONA – Barcelona has just confirmed the captain, Lionel Messi, will stay at the Camp Nou until his contract expires at the end of the 2020-2021 season. This allowed the Blaugrana – the nickname for Barcelona – to continue their activities in the 2020 summer transfer market calmly.
Sportsmole reports that Barcelona are interested in joining the hunt for the Bayern Munich midfielder, Thiago Alcantara. The Blaugrana are the third club who are reportedly interested in buying Alcantara. The two previous clubs that want to own Alcantara, are Liverpool and Manchester United.
Liverpool were first linked with the Spanish passport player. The Reds – the nickname Liverpool – are even said to have reached a personal agreement with Alcantara. Liverpool live to negotiate with Bayern to formalize everything.
However, negotiations with Bayern did not go smoothly. Bayern want Liverpool to pay 30 million pounds (approximately Rp. 589 billion). Meanwhile, Liverpool wants to buy Alcantara at a lower price.

Negotiations that did not go smoothly made Man United want to steal Alcantara from Liverpool’s hands. Man United is also the superior because it is considered capable of fulfilling Bayern’s request about the transfer of Alcantara.
Man United’s top status will be useless if Barcelona move to buy Alcantara. Because, Alcantara and Barcelona have an emotional closeness. Alcantara is a graduate of the Barcelona academy, La Masia.
