For the first time, FC Barcelona dominates the ranking of the most valuable football clubs. In the order compiled by the economic magazine Forbes, the Catalan big club took down the competing Real from the first place.

According to the renowned magazine, the current value of “Barca” is 4.76 billion dollars (104 billion crowns), the Madrid competitor with a price of 4.75 billion is just behind.

The Spanish duo is followed by defending champions in the Champions League Bayern Munich (4.215 billion). Its value rose by 39 percent in two years after winning six trophies from last season. In the top ten there are six more English clubs and the defeated finalist LM Paris St. Germain. The value of the French club has even increased by 129 percent, which is the most in the Top Ten, and amounts to $ 2.5 billion.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the top 20 clubs rose by an average of 30 percent to $ 2.28 billion. According to Forbes, the reason is the increased interest of investors. In contrast, the average turnover of these clubs fell 9.6 percent to $ 441 million and profits fell by as much as 70 percent to $ 23 million.
