Barcelona can lose Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong when dealing with Real Madrid. That happens if both are rewarded with a yellow card against Real Valladolid.
Barcelona entertain Valladolid in the LaLiga continuation, Tuesday (6/4/2021) early morning WIB. In this match, coach Ronald Koeman does not plan to rest Messi and De Jong.
If the two players play against Valladolid, the thing to watch out for is a yellow card. Messi and De Jong could miss the match against Madrid if they get a yellow card in the match.
“We know these two players have one card left, but this is not the time to rest players because of cards or refreshments,” Koeman said as quoted by Marca.
“We have ten games left. There is always a risk, but the best thing is to put out a team that I think can win,” he continued.
Although Valladolid is in 16th position, Koeman admits the game can be difficult. Barcelona was asked not to underestimate the opponent.
“You have to be prepared, you can’t think that it will be an easy match. We have to play with more energy, rhythm and have the ball,” Koeman said.
“We have to get back to our level. It can be a game without problems, but you have to always work hard to win,” he said.
