Albert Vila, who was born in Barcelona, has taken his love for music to Amsterdam and New York, among others. To record his latest album, he invited Rudy Royston and Doug Weiss, musicians he met in New York, to come to Brussels. “I use different elements from world music and classical music, from the blues. I try not to think in terms of genres.”
