Barcelona and “La Liga” convene summit to settle Lionel Messi’s comeback.

Summit meeting between Barcelona and “La Liga” to resolve the return of Lionel Messi?

The Barcelona team is looking for ways to strengthen its squad in anticipation of the challenges of the next season, as it entered into negotiations with a number of players, most notably its former Argentine star Lionel Messi, despite the Laporta management’s awareness of the difficulty of the task from the financial side.

And the Catalan newspaper, “Sport”, explained, on Friday, Barcelona’s plan to persuade the Spanish Football Association to agree to register Messi’s transfer to Barcelona from the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain.

The members of the “Blaugrana” board of directors will meet with their counterparts in the Spanish Football Authority, starting next week, and the aim of the meeting will be to persuade them to accept Messi’s return and facilitate Laporta’s task to settle the deal.

Barcelona officials will present a chart to La Liga explaining the stages that the club will take to reduce the value of salaries, since they are now hindering the club’s activity in the transfer market and have broken the barriers of the fair financial play regulations.

Barcelona’s board of directors believes that his chances of obtaining the Football Association’s approval are great, especially since the scheme includes a list of players who will leave the club, and commercial transactions that would generate additional financial values for his treasury.

This meeting will determine the future of the negotiations between Messi and Barcelona, as Laporta will start serious matters with the “Bulga” if he receives the green light, provided that the negotiations fail when the opposite occurs.

And the agreement of “Liga” to facilitate Messi’s transfer does not mean that the deal is officially settled, as Barcelona is hindered by some obstacles, such as his high salary of 40 million euros annually, and this even if he moved for free from the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain.
