Also accused are the club and its two former presidents Sandro Rosell and Josep Bartomeu, as well as the former head of the Spanish Referees Association, Jose Negreira and his son.
Laporta has been charged for his first tenure as Barcelona club president from 2003 to 2010.
In a report released Wednesday, the judge presiding over the investigation said he believed the statute of limitations could not apply to Laporte because of the seriousness of the charges.
Negreira is alleged to have received more than seven million euros from the Barcelona club between 2001 and 2018 through companies believed to have produced referee reports for the club.
“Barcelona”, which has become the champion of Spain 27 times, has been fighting against accusations for a long time and denies any wrongdoing.
