Barcelona got off to the worst possible start against Villarreal.
With five minutes left until the break, the visitors’ Norwegian Alexander Sörloth found his way in with a pass to Gerard Morena who cut straight to 1-0.
A result that stood the test of time.
TV4’s expert Astrit Ajdarevic was critical of Barca in Football Saturday Europe:
– They look completely beakless, they look completely dead, he said.
Joao Cancelo failed to clear at the start of the second half and presented Ilias Akhomach with a free which the Moroccan made sure to capitalize on as he rolled in 2-0.
Ilkay Gundogan then scored after an hour of play.
A goal that was the start of a quick comeback from the home team.
Ten minutes later it was 3-2 to Barca after goals from Pedri and an own goal from Eric Bailly.
But Villarreal bit back with five minutes remaining and managed to equalize through Goncalo Guedes.
And in the 99th minute, Villarreal completed their turnaround when Sörloth made it 4-3.
This after a real hen house in the Barca defence.
The match ended 5-3 to the visitors in yellow after Jose Luis Morales put the last ball in the net in the 102nd minute.

Barcelona are now ten points behind leaders Real Madrid in the La Liga table.
The team is third.
