Barbie it is definitely the film that more than any other is marking this turbulent cinematic summer. The success of the film with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling does not seem to show signs of slowing down, lining up ever more impressive numbers. In fact, the film made an impressive $775 million a year box-office globaleconfirming the trend also in our country against the 20 million reached so far.
In short, the film is undoubtedly dominating the box offices of every corner of the globe; however many are already wondering when the film directed by Greta Gerwig will be available on piattaforme streamingallowing the public to be able to enjoy it again.
In the last few hours, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav took care of clarifying the matter, who, during a meeting with investors, confirmed the arrival in streaming of the film by next fall:
We strongly believe in the programming window in the theater. Let’s let it have its way. […] When it comes to Max it will definitely have a great impact during the fall.
If it is impossible to hypothesize an official release date at the moment, it therefore seems certain that we can expect to find the film in streaming between September and Octoberwhen it has concluded its already triumphant run on the big screen.
The film was directed by Greta Gerwigformer director of Lady Bird (2017) e Little Women (2019). Gerwig also co-wrote the script with her husband and noted director Noah Baumbach.
The cast of the film involves a wide variety of names including Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, Connor Swindells, Nicola Coughlan, Emerald Fennell, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, America Ferrera, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman, Sharon Rooney, Ana Cruz Kayne, Ritu Arya, Jamie Demetriou, Emma Mackey, Dua Lipa, Issa Rae, Neph Day, Alexandra Shipp, Simu Liu, Scott Evans, John Cena e Dear friend.
Barbie is currently playing in theaters.
