Professor Alessandro Barbero held a lesson at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, which was a great success with the public.
Great success for the lesson held by Alessandro Barbero, historian, writer and expert on the Middle Ages, at the San Carlo Theater in Naples. As many as 1,700 people, mostly young people, warmly welcomed the teacher, showing great interest in the theme of the lesson: Frederick II. Barbero underlined the importance for Napoli to look at one’s past to rediscover the avant-garde. The Middle Ages, often considered a dark period, actually saw Italy reach heights of civilization that were then forgotten. Precisely in that era, Naples played a fundamental role, as the historian recalled.
“Today’s young people have a great desire to know, to discuss, to discuss. I and all my colleagues who do this job, who teach at Federico II or in other Italian universities, know this. We know that these young people represent a beautiful generation and it is our fortune to live and work among them,” he declared in amazement at the great success achieved in recent times.
