Barbara Pompili hails a policy among “the most efficient and rapid in history”

Invited this Sunday on the set of BFM Politics, the Minister of the Ecological Transition ensures that the government adapts its vaccine strategy “according to the arrival” of the doses.

France crossed the milestone of one million people vaccinated on Saturday, announced Jean Castex. However, the executive remains under fire from criticism in the face of the delay in relation to our European neighbors and the risk of a shortage of doses that is looming. Invited this Sunday on the set of BFM Politics, Barbara Pompili however insisted that “the vaccine policy on Covid-19 was one of the most effective and fastest in history”.

Recalling that “we have been working for months with the European Union”, the Minister of Ecological Transition assures us on our board that the government “tries to be as efficient as possible”. “We adapt according to the arrival of vaccines,” she says, while stressing the production constraints of laboratories over which European governments have no control.

“We must not forget that we had access to these vaccines in historically record time under good conditions with all the security measures that have been taken,” insists Barbara Pompili.

While many environmentalists say they are opposed to vaccines, the minister assures her that she is “very pro-vaccine”, saying that “thanks to them, we have succeeded in considerably improving public health”.
