The award-winning restaurant Taubenkobel is sticking to its pre-Christmas tradition of unusual culinary pop-ups.
Every year, the gastronomic couple Barbara Eselböck and Alain Weissgerber from Taubenkobel in Burgenland come up with a new culinary pop-up concept for the winter season. A coach house in Meidling, the Otto Wagner area, the Mannervilla in Hernals and a Mercedes car repair shop in the fourth district have already been used.
This year they are setting up in a very central location, namely in one of the high temples of Vienna’s night culture. From November 8th to December 22nd, a multi-course gourmet menu will be served in the Volksgarten club disco, where young and young-at-heart people usually dance. The language has been adapted to the location: In the “Diskokobel” “the menu is served as a finely selected playlist to the beat of the growling stomach and thus actually brings rhythm into the blood,” says the press advertisement.
