Barack Obama unveils his new summer playlist

Barack Obama has been making a habit of it since 2015: he regularly shares the music he listens to. And it’s 100% true, as he said in a podcast with Hasan Minhaj: “People seem to think, ‘Well, there must be a 20-year-old intern behind this’… Well, no, man! It’s on my iPad right now!”

And what’s on his player this summer is bound to be “eclectic,” because it’s the signature Obama.

“With summer coming to a close, I wanted to share a few songs I’ve been listening to recently – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix,” he wrote on his X account.

If he publishes his playlist, it is with the altruistic intention of introducing his fans to new gems. “I hope you will find something new to listen to,” hopes the music-loving president.
