The success story of the MBG Group began in 1993. Starting out as an importer for international beer brands, the Paderborn company is now one of the heavyweights in the industry with innovative own brands, well-known sales brands, over 250 employees and a presence in around 60 countries around the world. A special focus is and has always been on marketing: For example, in collaborations with well-known personalities, as partners of large events and brands or as sponsors of Bundesliga soccer clubs, the brands have made a name for themselves far beyond the beverage industry. Since this year, MBG has been working with the greats of the German rap scene – above all Apache 207 – and with this viral strategy hits the nerve of the times and consumers.
Andreas Herb, CEO of the MBG Group, speaks in an interview about the current cooperation in the Deutschrap area and explains how marketing in the beverage industry has changed in recent years. He also reveals what he thinks of the current iced tea trend.
