Baptiste Reynet commits to Nîmes

Nîmes Olympique has chosen its new goalkeeper, Baptiste Reynet, transferred from Toulouse to replace Paul Bernardoni, who had left for Angers, the club said on Wednesday.

Aged 29, the former Dijon goalkeeper (2011-2013 then 2014-2018) signed for two years.

Nîmes could not keep Bernardoni, loaned for two seasons by Bordeaux and sold by the Girondins to Angers for 7 million euros.

Second summer recruit

This is the second recruit from the Gard club who has exercised the option to buy another player loaned from Bordeaux by winter, midfielder Yassine Benrahou (21), recruited until 2023.

In addition, the “Crocodiles” formalized the change of trainer on Tuesday, the former assistant Jérôme Arpinon (42) taking the place of Bernard Blaquart, who terminated a work contract which would run until 2023. The new Nîmes coach is none other than the cousin of FC Metz recruiter Frédéric Arpinon.
