To commemorate the Mid-Autumn Festival, BAPE uses the brand’s iconic symbols and unique design language to bring a new Mid-Autumn limited edition clothing series and mooncake gift boxes as promised, paying tribute to the traditional oriental folk culture in the name of the street. This Mid-Autumn Festival limited series revolves around three major creative themes, integrating street aesthetics with traditional culture and releasing a lineup of items including hoodies, crew-neck sweatshirts and long/short T-shirts. “APE HEAD PHOTO”, which focuses on the sci-fi space concept, freezes the image of the moon and the earth looking at each other in the frame of an ape head, and carries a mysterious UFO to fill the sci-fi atmosphere. “MOON JAPAN APE HEAD” is inspired by the traditional Japanese “Fifteenth Night”. It combines Japanese elements such as moon rabbits, Qinghai ripples, flowers and Chinese characters through hot stamping printing technology to present the wonderful scene of a full moon with flowers. “MOON APE HEAD” draws on the design style of the classic science fiction movie posters of the 1980s. The moon illustrations displayed in cartoon strokes are humorously blended with the ape head, and are equipped with bright and fashionable colors.
In addition, the retro iron box shaped with the outline of an ape’s head is covered with BAPE’s signature ABC green camouflage print, and contains 4 individually packaged custard mooncakes. The delicate and soft taste bursts with juice in one bite, bringing a mellow and rich warm aftertaste, injecting a pure and trendy atmosphere into the reunion of family and friends.
