AKURAT.CO, The Banyumas District Health Office recorded hundreds of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) that occurred in that area.
Head of the Banyumas District Health Office, Sadiyanto, said that so far his party had recorded 345 dengue cases. 10 of them died.
“Until mid-November, there has been no significant increase in dengue cases. But overall, it has reached 345 cases,” he said Saturday (11/14/2020).

Approaching the rainy season, DHF cases often jump sharply. However, Sadiyanto said, in connection with the rainy season that coincided with the Covid-19 pandemic, dengue cases in Banyumas Regency were relatively low and tended to be stagnant.
He suspects that this is because the residents of Banyumas Regency are getting used to a clean lifestyle following the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Maybe because people are now accustomed to a clean lifestyle, among others by cleaning the surrounding environment, so that it has an impact on reducing dengue cases,” he said.
Nevertheless, Sadiyanto appealed to Banyumas Regency residents to remain vigilant about dengue fever during the rainy season.
“To be sure, carry out PSN (eradication of mosquito nests) regularly because it is more effective in preventing dengue compared to fogging,” he said. []
