Governor of Banten, Wahidin Halim threatened to fire 20 officials public health Office previously reported to be busy resigning by sending a letter to the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD).
Because he considers the actions of the health office officers to offend the public’s feelings.
The resignation letter incident is known to be the aftermath of the alleged corruption case in the procurement of KN-95 masks which was dismantled by the High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati). There are at least two points in the circulating letter, namely 20 officials admitted to working under pressure and their leaders were unable to protect subordinates who worked on orders from the head of service.
The fate of the 20 Banten Health Office officials will be determined on Wednesday (2/6) tomorrow by Governor Wahidin and the Head of BKD Komarudin. Even if he was fired, Wahidin said he would find a replacement.
“Tomorrow we will discuss them, we will not give them jobs or maybe we can fire them if they meet the elements of the provisions and we will immediately find a replacement. This is a movement that in my opinion really offends the community,” Wahidin said in a release on Tuesday (1 6).

Wahidin added that 20 Banten Health Office officials who resigned were considered unwilling to change the old pattern of work to a new pattern. He even accused the ASN of not supporting efforts to clean up corrupt practices.
“They are old people whose performance we already know, don’t want to change mindsetwith the provincial government’s efforts in fighting corruption,” he said again.
The former Mayor of Tangerang for two terms entrusted the investigation of various cases of alleged corruption to the Banten Prosecutor’s Office. Some of them are cases of Ponpes grants to the procurement of masks worth Rp. 3.3 billion which is suspected of causing state losses of Rp. 1.680 billion.
“I understand the concern situation of the staff, echelon 3 and 4 with the arrest of brother LS. I think this form of solidarity can be understood, but this legal issue is being processed and enforced by the Banten Attorney General’s Office,” he explained.
Prior to the dismissal decision, according to him, it would be preceded by an examination of the 20 officials by the Banten BKD. Information excavation and clarification is planned to be carried out on Wednesday (2/6) tomorrow led by the Regional Secretary, Asda 3, the Inspectorate and BKD. The results are only then reported to the Governor of Banten.
Meanwhile, the Head of BKD Komarudin confirmed that there was no plan to fire him. A total of 20 health office officials still need to be processed.
“There is no plan for dismissal, all will be examined first. What is their motive for resigning from their current positions. So there has been no dismissal,” said Head of BKD, Komarudin in the same release.
