An earthquake of magnitude (M) 6.6 in Banten had an impact on Lebak Regency. The Lebak BPBD recorded that the earthquake shocks resulted in two injuries and 32 houses damaged.
“Two people had minor injuries to their heads as a result of being hit by an emergency when they were about to leave the house,” said Head of the Lebak Regency BPBD, Febby Rizky Pratama, Friday (1/14/2022).
In addition, said Febby, schools were damaged in two more places. A total of three schools were affected, namely MAN Gunung Kencana, SD 1 Sukaresmi Sobang, and SMP 3 Wanasalam.
“Initially there was one school, there were two reports. So a total of three schools are currently damaged,” he said.
Reports of houses damaged by the earthquake also increased. Initially the report was 6 houses, now there are 32 houses with details 12 houses were heavily damaged, 3 houses were moderately damaged, and 17 houses were lightly damaged.
“A total of 10 affected sub-districts and 13 villages. We will still receive further reports,” said Febby.
