signs saying “Take him out! – Stop Boris.com” flew over Premier League matches at Old Trafford in Manchester and Elland Road in Leeds on Saturday.
The campaign group Open Britain told the Palestinian Authority news agency that it had “booked the plane”, adding that it was taking its “campaign to get Boris Johnson removed from power… to the skies”.
The group said it had decided to “increase public pressure after the prime minister failed to resign this week”.
The website shown in the banner links to a petition for the Prime Minister to be “removed from power”, which currently has more than 77,000 signatures.
