Banksy chooses a rhino for the ‘London Zoo’

London, United Kingdom.

The British artist Banksy revealed this Monday its Eighth work in the series already dubbed ‘London Zoo’which is already facing its second week in active service, with the silhouette of a rhinoceros drawn on a wall that looks like it’s climbing a car parked on the sidewalk.

The mysterious graffiti artist confirmed the authorship on his Instagram at around 13:00 British time (12:00 GMT), as he has been doing every day since last Monday with the creations that have appeared in different parts of the capital of the United Kingdom, all of them with animal protagonism.

On the eighth day, Banksy painted a rhino on westmoor street from the Charlton neighborhood, southeast of London,

preceded by a goat, two elephants, three monkeys, pelicans, piranhas, a cat and a wolf.

He did not rest even on Sunday, when he took advantage of a glass police booth to turn it into a improvised piranha fish tankin the heart of the London oldest.

  • Fortunately, almost all of the works in the animal series have survived, except for the one of the howling wolf on a satellite dish on a rooftop in Peckham, which did not last an hour before it was stolen last Thursday.

A spokesman for the popular street artist told Britain’s Press Association news agency that Banksy It is not related nor does it support the theft of the wolf design and that “he has no knowledge of the current whereabouts of the satellite dish.”
