Banking, good state-owned bank as well as private banks adjust their operating hours during the implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) micro, in order to put the brakes on the rate of increase in Covid-19 cases.
PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk stated that it has adjusted the branch office service hours since Monday (28/6). Bank Mandiri adjusted the branch service hours to 09.00-15.00 local time from 08.00-15.00.
Despite the reduced operating hours, Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary Rudi Asaturridha said all banking services were still available to customers with the implementation of strict health protocols.
Rudi hopes that customers can take advantage of Bank Mandiri’s electronic channels for transactions. Customers can also open a savings account without having to go to a branch office or meet with banking staff by accessing the join.bankmandiri.co.id site.

In addition to Bank Mandiri, PT BTN (Persero) Tbk has also adjusted customer service hours at each branch office starting Monday (28/6), to 08.00-14.00 local time.
Bank BTN Corporate Secretary Ari Kurniaman said the change in operating hours was made to anticipate the impact of the Covid-19 transmission.
The service to customers is carried out by implementing strict health protocols by regulating and limiting the number of customers at one time.
In addition, bank employees who have direct contact with customers are required to wear masks and face shields.
“The procedure for accepting customers is required to implement health protocols such as checking body temperature, directing customers to wash their hands or use hand sanitizers, requiring customers to wear masks and keep their distance from other customers,” Ari said in a written statement.
Similarly, the largest private bank in Indonesia, PT BCA Tbk, stated that it supports the government’s policy by adjusting the operating hours of branch offices.
Executive Vice President Secretariat & Corporate Communication of BCA Hera F. Haryn said the adjustments were made starting Monday (28/6) by closing some BCA branch offices in Jabodetabek and changing the operating hours of branch offices in several regions to suit the region and current conditions.
