The Antwerp Company Court, Mechelen Division, declared on Monday the bankruptcy of many subsidiaries of the FNG group, including Brantano, CKS and Fred & Ginger.
The court officially approved the bankruptcy of some twenty FNG subsidiaries. He also put an end to the judicial reorganization proceedings of Brantano, FNG International and Market retail Belgium.
The bankruptcies do not concern the parent company FNG SA, for which no insolvency proceedings have been initiated.
No store of the FNG group will open its doors on Tuesday, said Sven De Scheemaeker, of the Flemish Christian union ACV Puls, after contact with the curators. The stores will remain closed as long as the discussions on an unblocking of the group’s accounts last, warned the union official.
For its part, the CNE announced earlier today that Brantano workers will express their dissatisfaction with the bankruptcy of the sign on Tuesday in front of the Champion store (Namur).
