Marc Jaspers is the owner of the Hipp catering employment agency in Heerlen. He was declared bankrupt last week. “The recovery of payroll tax has proven to be a major problem for me,” says Jaspers. “For me, this also has to do with significantly changed circumstances.” With government support, Jaspers kept about 150 people on the payroll during corona. Even though there was hardly any turnover. “But you hope to get through it all,” says Jaspers. “We came up with some other work, but it was not easy.”
