TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Main Director of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Tbk Hery Gunardi said the industry banking required to increase the ability to transform business models towards digitalization. He said the banking trend for 2023 is towards digitization.
“With demands from customers who already feel comfortable and also want the bank to serve customers well digital channelbanks also begin to have to prepare themselves and continue toupgrade digital capabilities,” said Hery in the Webinar on Banking Trends in 2023 which will be monitored in Jakarta, Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Banking innovation through digitization This can be done by developing digital applications and improving features to make it easier for customers to access banking transactions.
These digital channel features do not only cover ordinary banking transactions such as paymentpurchases, and transfers, but also related to people’s lifestyles, as well as being able to connect with third parties, such as buying and selling transactions in the network or ecommerce and fintech.
He said the COVID-19 pandemic had caused massive changes in consumer behavior in transactions via digital platforms. The average banking transaction through digital channels is above 95 percent, and only around 5 percent make transactions at bank branch offices.
