A masked robber attacked two bank employees with a firearm on Thursday evening and stole a five-figure sum.
gross-umstadt. A masked and armed perpetrator attacked two female employees in a bank branch on Habitzheimer Strasse in Groß-Umstadt early on Thursday evening.
A police spokesman said the unknown perpetrator knocked at the back entrance shortly after the branch closed at around 6.15 p.m. and threatened the two employees with a gun. The perpetrator was then given five-digit cash from a safe.
An immediately initiated search for the perpetrator was initially unsuccessful. The perpetrator is said to be 30 to 40 years old and spoke German with an Eastern European accent. He had worn a red hooded jacket during the crime. The man is said to have packed the money stolen from the attack in a black bag.
