The Media Department at Bank of Beirut issued a statement saying, “One of the social media platforms is circulating information about Bank of Beirut’s intervention in the market, buying US dollars, which caused confusion that soon subsided.”
He added, “Bank of Beirut” is important to confirm that what happened does not apply and the content of what is being circulated, because some of the contractors’ dues have been released from the concerned authority, and we have already paid them in the national currency, so some of them rushed to buy US dollars for their value, which caused A mixture of facts among the activists.
And he continued, “In order to resolve matters and clarify their truth, this clarification was made.”
