Bank of America: partnership with Oxford University

(CercleFinance.com) – Bank of America announced on Monday the launch of a partnership with the University of Oxford aimed at better integrating issues related to climate change and sustainable development in the finance sector.

The American banking giant says it has committed to funding this public-private partnership to the tune of 1.2 million pounds sterling (about 1.4 million euros) over three years to support two research projects.

One concerns the integration of nature-related factors and the use of climate and environmental data in financial decision-making.

The second concerns the identification of solutions to eliminate greenhouse gases.

The Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, a center of the University of Oxford, will carry out this research.
