Bank Mandiri AGMS (BMRI) Agrees to Distribute Dividends of IDR 16.82 Trillion

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Bank Mandiri’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) determined that 60% of its 2021 consolidated net profit or around Rp. 16.82 trillion as dividends to be distributed to shareholders. Meanwhile, as much as 40% of last year’s consolidated net profit was allocated as retained earnings.

From this value, dividends to the Republic of Indonesia for ownership of 52% of Bank Mandiri shares or Rp. 8.75 trillion will be deposited into the State General Treasury Account.

President Director of Bank Mandiri Darmawan Junaidi explained that the dividend amount was in line with the commitment of Bank Mandiri management to be able to contribute optimally to the country and the desire to become the main financial partner of choice for customers, among others by continuing the digital transformation of the company’s financial products and services to make them more reliable and efficient. “This decision also indicates strong support from shareholders for management to accelerate the company’s business expansion plans,” said Darmawan in his official statement, Thursday (10/3).

According to him, the dividend amount has taken into account the liquidity position and capital structure of Bank Mandiri in supporting the 2022 plan. Meanwhile, after the distribution of dividends, the capital adequacy ratio or capital adequacy ratio (CAR) Bank Mandiri until the end of the year is projected to be at approximately the same level as December 2021.

Darmawan added that his party was optimistic that various digital developments and innovations that were being carried out would be able to support Bank Mandiri’s sustainable business plan, including encouraging the intermediation function which is the core company business.

“In line with the momentum of economic growth, we are optimistic that Bank Mandiri’s performance will continue to improve. Going forward, we will continue to spur the development of Bank Mandiri’s business and services in order to meet the expectations of all stakeholder company,” added Darmawan.

Going forward, Darmawan continued, Bank Mandiri will actively carry out digital transformation to meet the needs of customers’ financial services and transactions. One of them is through the development of the Livin’ by Mandiri Super App for retail customers and the Kopra by Mandiri Digital Super Platform for customers wholesale which shows positive achievements since its launch last October 2021.

It is noted that as of the end of December 2021, Livin’ by Mandiri has been downloaded by 10 million users and recorded a transaction value of Rp. 1,630 trillion with the number of transactions exceeding 1.5 billion. Meanwhile, Kopra by Mandiri has been able to manage transactions of Rp. 13,545 trillion, including transactions trade amounting to Rp 553 trillion and bank guarantee transactions worth Rp 94.3 trillion at the end of last year.

At the AGM, the shareholders also decided to appoint Muliadi Rahardja as an Independent Commissioner of Bank Mandiri to replace Mohamad Nasir.
