Bank loan delinquency rate of 0.34% in November of last year… Same as the previous month

[이데일리 이승현 기자] In November of last year, the delinquency rate for bank loans remained at the delivery level of 0.34%. Currently, bank loan delinquency rates are very low.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service on the 14th, as of the end of November 2020, the delinquency rate of Korean banks’ loans in KRW was estimated at 0.34%. It is the same as the October figure.

The delinquency rate for September was 0.30%, the lowest level ever since January 2007 when related statistics were compiled.

The November delinquency rate is 0.14 percentage points lower than the 0.48% of the same period last year. Loan delinquency rate in Korean won is the ratio of the balance of the bond balance that has overdue principal and interest for at least one month from the total amount lent in Korean won by the bank.

In November, the amount of new delinquent accruals and the amount of delinquent receivables were the same at KRW 1 trillion each. This is why the delinquency rate has not changed from the previous month’s level.

The corporate loan delinquency rate for November was 0.43%, similar to the previous month. The household loan delinquency rate recorded 0.24%, up 0.01 percentage points over the previous year.

The delinquency rate for large corporate loans was maintained at 0.28%. On the other hand, the delinquency rate for SME loans was 0.46%, up 0.01 percentage points from the previous year. The delinquency rate for small and medium-sized corporations and loan delinquency rates for individual business owners were 0.62% and 0.27%, respectively.

In household loans, the delinquency rate for mortgage loans was maintained at 0.16%. The delinquency rate for other household loans such as credit loans recorded 0.42%. It increased by 0.02 percentage points over the previous month.
