Bank Indonesia (BI) launched the Indonesian Standard Quick Response service for cash withdrawal, transfer and cash deposit transactions (QRIS Tuntas). There will be different fees for each transaction.
BI Governor Perry Warjiyo said that for cash withdrawal fees using QRIS Complete via an ATM owned by a payment service provider (PJP) is free, aka not paid. Meanwhile, for transactions via agents or other PJP services, a tariff of IDR 6,500 per transaction will be charged.
“The fee for cash withdrawals with QRIS Complete is set according to an agreement with the industry, Rp. 6,500 per transaction for on-us (fellow) PJP transactions through agents and off-us transactions between PJP. Meanwhile, on-us intra-PJP transactions via ATMs are free of charge,” explained Perry in the event. launch of QRIS Complete, Thursday (17/8/2023).
According to him, the transaction fee is very cheap, especially considering the current fee for cash withdrawals at other ATMs is Rp. 7,500 or cash withdrawals through agents, which range from Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 20,000 per transaction.
Then the transfer fees using QRIS Complete between fellow PJP users are also free. Meanwhile, for transfers outside of PJP, a fee of IDR 2,000 will be charged for nominal transactions up to IDR 100,000 and IDR 2,500 for nominal transactions above IDR 100,000.
“For transfers with QRIS Complete, it’s the same as BI-fast, Rp. 2,500 per transaction. If BI-fast, you have to use an account, if QRIS Complete, you can use an account but you can also use electronic money,” said Perry.
“Even for transactions of up to IDR 100,000 per transaction, now we (BI and the industry) agree that it is even cheaper (the rate), namely IDR 2,000 per transaction,” he added.
Finally, the cash deposit fee via an agent or other PJP is IDR 5,000 per transaction. However, cash deposit fees at other ATMs are also free.
“The cash deposit fee with QRIS Complete is IDR 5,000 per transaction. For on us transactions through agents and off us transactions, while on us intra PJP transactions via ATMs are free of charge,” said Perry.
