Less wearing experience experienced by a customer genius named Ariefatosa Firdaus. It is known that the funds in his Jenius account suddenly decreased by up to IDR 7.5 million.
Responding to this, the Communications & Daya Head of Bank BTPN, Andrie Darusman, deeply regretted this incident. Apart from that, he also explained that a similar incident had also been experienced by another customer named Handry Febrian Z.
“Bank BTPN regrets what happened to our Jenius customers, namely Firdaus Ariefatosa and Handry Febrian Z,” said Andrie to detikcomMonday (10/7/2023).
As a form of settlement for this case, Andrie explained that the Rp 7.5 million belonging to Firdaus Ariefatosa had been returned by the BTPN bank. As for Handry Febrian Z, banks have submitted information about the development of customer reports.
“For Firdaus Ariefatosa customers, Bank BTPN has returned customer funds to his Jenius account on 6 July 2023. Thus, the customer complaint has been completed and closed,” said Andrie.
“For Handry Febrian Z customers, Bank BTPN has conveyed information about the development of customer reports via e-mail on 27 June 2023,” he explained again.
Beyond that, Andrie reminded all Jenius and BTPN customers in general to be careful of various modes of crime. In addition, customers are also encouraged to transact at merchants that have supporting security.
“We also remind customers to always be aware of various modes of crime. In addition, we urge customers to transact at merchants that support payments using Visa’s 3D Secure system, which is equipped with OTP,” said Andrie.
For information, Ariefatosa Firdaus experienced a loss of money through his Twitter account @eosmate.
In his tweet, he said that on July 5, the funds in his Jenius account suddenly decreased by IDR 7.5 million. He said, on his cell phone a transaction notification of IDR 2.4 million appeared and 2 minutes later a transaction of IDR 5.1 million appeared. It also includes screenshots of proof of the transaction.
He then checked his transaction history. He said there were two consecutive transactions using his m-card at Walmart.com Bentoville with a value of US$ 156.01 and US$ 333.87 respectively.
Fortunately, at this time the complaint report has been processed by BTPN. The bank has also returned the funds to his Jenius account.
