Bank Aladin’s Loss Swells Up 25 Times To Rp 80 M

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Digital banking issuer, Bank Aladin Syariah (BANK), recorded a net loss of IDR 80.77 billion in the first half of 2022. This figure swelled 25 times from the loss in the same period last year of IDR 3.13 billion.

This loss occurred even though the bank’s total revenue from managing funds as mudharabah increased to Rp 33.04 billion from Rp 18.47 billion at the end of June 2021.

However, the company’s operating expenses which swelled by almost 200% made performance bottom line The company is getting more and more depressed. The company’s total operating expenses rose to Rp 105.58 billion from only 37.88 billion.

The biggest increase occurred in two main posts, namely general and administrative expenses, which increased to Rp. 24.41 billion from the original Rp. 10.40 billion and the post of salaries and employee welfare which increased to Rp. 60.56 billion from Rp. 22.72 billion.

The company’s core capital as of the end of June this year rose to 2.01 trillion from Rp 1.04 trillion at the end of last year. However, the record is still under the provisions of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Rp. 3 trillion.
