Ostrava’s squad will be strengthened by Nigerian offensive player Quadri Adediran. The 23-year-old African will be in Baník from České Budějovice on a one-year loan with an option. Ostrava reported on this on its official website. The author of two Dynamo goals in the autumn part of the first league has already been in Ostrava since last week, but only today did the clubs announce an agreement on the form of his engagement.
“Following the agreement between all parties, we decided to go the route of one-year hosting, which is a long enough period for us to objectively evaluate mutual cooperation, assess and decide whether we will also use the option. As I said before, Quadri has interesting potential and we will see how he can apply it in our more competitive environment. I firmly believe that this will be the case and that he will do well in Baník,” said the head of Ostrava’s sports department, Luděk Mikloško, in a statement.
During the autumn, there was speculation that Slavia was also interested in Adediran, but these voices have died down recently and his arrival in Baník was born relatively quickly after the New Year.

The native of Lagos has so far made 33 starts and scored five goals in the top flight. “I’m glad it’s over, I’m clear and I can now fully concentrate on my performances in Baník. I appreciate the chance to be here and I believe I’ll give it back on the pitch,” said Adediran.
At the same time, Ostrava is still solving its dispute with the Nigerian club 36 Lions FC at the FIFA level due to the share of the transfer of striker Muhamed Tijani to Slavia, currently it has blocked transfers because of this. Administratively, Adedirana will be able to register only after the case is resolved. According to the club, this should be before the official start of the January 26 transfer window.
