Bangladeshi Teenagers Playing Hide and Seek in Containers, Suddenly Already in Malaysia

Jakarta

A 15 year old boy hid in a container while playing hide and seek with friends in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Unfortunately for him, when he was hiding he was locked in a container and brought to the port of Malaysia.

Reported by Indiatimes, Friday (27/1/2023), the story begins on January 17, 2023, while unloading containers from the Bangladesh ship, Port Klang Malaysia staff were surprised to see a thin, confused boy coming out of one of the containers. The boy does not speak or understand the local language, namely Malay.

Then the authorities, who suspected that the boy was a victim of a human trafficking crime organization, immediately called the police. Turns out it wasn’t a case of human trafficking or any crime, just an unlucky day for the boy.

The boy’s name is Fahim. He chose the container as his hiding place when playing hide and seek. Fahim accidentally locks himself in the container, after which he falls asleep.

The container is then taken to a merchant ship to sail to Malaysia. The ship started its journey on 11 January from the port of Chittagong and reached Port Klang in Malaysia on 17 January.

Locked in a 6 day Container

Fahim was locked in the container for 6 full days. He screamed for help but no one heard him. How he survived 6 days without a piece of food or water is still a mystery to everyone.

Photos and clips taken by workers at Malaysia’s Port Klang show the boy looking confused by the unfamiliar surroundings as he steps out of the shipping container. He was then picked up by an ambulance and taken to a local hospital. Arrangements were also made to send him back to Bangladesh once he recovered.
