Bangladesh Makes History with First-Ever Victory Over India in Women’s ODI Cricket

Bangladesh beat India in women’s ODI cricket for the first time in the history of Mirpur. Bangladesh won by 40 runs in the first game of the three-match series under the rain rule. In the game which was reduced to 44 overs due to rain, India set a target of 154 runs to win. However, India were bowled out for 113 runs. Bengal pacer Marufa Akhtar who took four wickets is the star of the game. Score: Bangladesh 152 (43) India 113 (35.5). The bowlers did well for India who won the toss and left Bangladesh to bat. Debutant Amanjot Kaur shone with four wickets. Captain Nigar Sultana (39) is the top scorer in Bangladesh. India made a mistake in the reply. All the leading players returned quickly.
