Bane Nor has changed the signal type on Follobanen after a train had problems in the Blix tunnel on Monday.
On Monday, the day after the Follobanen reopened, a train set on its way from Ski to Oslo reported a fault, writes Technical Weekly.
The train braked automatically and came to a complete stop, as trains should behave in the event of an error. The train had to be reset, which takes a few minutes, before it could continue. This led to delays on some train departures.
Anne Kirkhusmo, press manager at Bane Nor, says the train management is now running with a different type of signal to prevent the error possibly continuing. It has now been switched from the main signal to what is called a dwarf signal, which is mainly used at the stations.
Kirkhusmo says they have received no information about other problems in the Blixtunnel after reopening.
Bane Nor states that the error that occurred on Monday is not related to the problems that closed the Follobanen in December.
