Christoffer Edlund, 37, scored four goals in the SC final as Villa Lidköping managed to win 7–6 after many toss-ups.
After a dream start for Västerås, Villa was able to turn a 0–2 deficit into a 3–2 lead.
Debated goal
However, Villa’s third goal became a big talking point, as it was difficult to judge if the ball was over the goal line.
– Was it in there? We cannot determine that from here. The referee is very good, says SVT Sports expert Svenne Olsson.

For a long time, Villa looked to be heading for victory during normal time, but after a dramatic late forcing, Västerås managed to equalize in the 93rd minute.
“I’m speechless”
Viktor Spångberg sent in the goal that took the match to extra time.
– It is an absolutely incredible finish. I’m speechless. It’s the craziest final we’ve seen, says SVT Sports commentator Chris Härenstam.
But in extra time Villa Lidköping was able to decide, through Christoffer Edlund who scored his fourth goal in the match.
– There has been so much shit, we have been through so much. It’s so damn nice, says a teary-eyed Jesper Thimfors.
The gold hero euphoric
This is Villa’s third SM gold on the men’s side. A great success for the club, who also became champions on the women’s side earlier in the day.
– It is the match of my life, in so many ways. We are enormously strong and almost stronger than that. Then we get maybe the sickest goal I’ve seen in my life at the last second and it’s extra time. But now it was our turn, says Christoffer Edlund and adds:
– This sport, it is the most beautiful thing I know.
