TEMPO.CO, Bandung – Mayor of Bandung Yana Mulyana canceled the free homecoming at Bandung City Hall today, Saturday, April 25 2023. The event, which was supposed to start at 9 am, ended up being delayed and only opened 45 minutes later. The Head of Transport and Testing of Motorized Vehicles at the Bandung City Transportation Service Asep Kurnia was suddenly appointed to open the homecoming event together.
Asep admitted that he came to the event as a committee. However, there is no certainty that the opening of the homecoming together will be the event for the Bandung City Transportation Service, so he discussed the protocol.

Asep said, the registration period which was originally closed on April 10 2023 had been extended to April 15 2023. The majority of applicants who canceled their trips to Ciamis and Sukabumi were due to wait for joint leave on April 19 2023.
“If the PO can be on the 19th, we will move it there. But it can’t, in the end it’s all today,” said Asep.

Sulastri, a traveler heading to Kebumen, admitted that this was the first time he was taking part in a free homecoming. Usually he travels with his family by train.
“This is the first time going home for free,” he said.
Sulastri went home with her 3 children and 1 nephew. He admitted that he could save up to IDR 800,000 on homecoming fees by taking the free homecoming bus. He admitted that he would force him to go home this year because he had not returned home for 3 Eids.

Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana was arrested by the Corruption Eradication Commission on Friday, April 14, 2023. It is said that Yana was arrested along with eight other people and is currently undergoing questioning at the Red and White Building. KPK, South Jakarta. The KPK stated that Yana was suspected of receiving bribes in the procurement of CCTV and internet services for the Bandung Smart City project.
