Bandai Namco and FromSoftware, a Japanese developer, have warned of the imminent shutdown of servers for the action role-playing game Dark Souls 2 for two specific platforms.
On March 31, 2024, at 15:00 Moscow time, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Dark Souls 2 will lose their online functions. After the servers shut down, it will be possible to continue playing offline.
What owners of these consoles will miss in Dark Souls 2 are the asynchronous online elements (messages, bloodstains, and ghosts of other players), as well as co-op, raids, and duels.

The developers highlighted that the shutdown of Dark Souls 2 servers for PS3 and Xbox 360 will not affect the game’s other platforms (PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) and thanked fans for their support.
On the same day, the action servers for Armored Core: Verdict Day will also be disabled, affecting the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. These servers are predecessors to Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, released this year.

Players will no longer be able to access World mode, mercenary roles, territory customization, rankings, command menus, achievements that require Network access, and other elements related to online capabilities.
Dark Souls 2 was released in March 2014 for PS3 and Xbox 360, while Armored Core: Verdict Day arrived in September 2013. In mid-2022, FromSoftware disabled network functions for the PC version of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition.
